Money not enough

“Fuel prices increased by 30cents per litre and there won’t be anymore increases again within this year” according to the news headline. ‘This year’, maybe yes maybe no. But next year? Haha…you’ll know better. Afterall, we have been living long enough; wise enough knowing how this underlying theory works.

Welcome to the world of BOLEHLAND…

I started to think if I’m living in the many hands of gold-diggers, which everyday in everyway trying to figure out how to take money away from meager earners like us. First it was the BN overnight policy rate that gives banks the opportunity to rake from homeowners… and what lies ahead is still vaguely known. But for sure it’s not something that we would want it to happen unless for a lower BLR that we’ve always prayed for. Topping up 0.25 to the existing 6%, and then now to 0.5 in less than months… the market isn’t in good condition as they said it, and that conveyed adding burden to the end-consumers.

Then came yesterday, when news start breaking in at almost 11pm via calls and smses from close networks. Shockingly, what? Not again? And it’s no longer few cents or 10cents we are talking about. 30 cents is huge ok…ouch, ouch! *#@^*$#* cursing here and there. It’s so intentionally only to make it public at such late hours… so people have lesser time to act, which in turn benefited kiosks owners once the hands strike 12. Why can’t they announce it during the prime time and let everyone enjoy the last pump at 1.62? Shitty, shitty isn’t it?

Well, no doubt that every single petrol station was congested last night whilst I got myself entertained in front of the tv box. The ignorance, the laziness and the don’t-care-much attitude in me at that particular moment didn’t give it a damn albeit the almost empty tank. It didn’t save much in the long run neither, so I decided to let go this one-time savings (lucky that I’m driving small car). And…later tonight, pumping in 1.92. Have I gotten insane? Soon…‘coz I’m running out of gold, so please stop digging *sob*sob*

What’s next? Inflation on the rise…

“Once upon a time I’m falling in love, now I’m falling apart….”

“Love is in the air” and that’s what WE day is all about. Waken in jovial mood; it’s a day I look forward to. Dressed up in the richness of passion… waiting for a wonderful dinner.

But it didn’t turn out to be what I’ve highly anticipated. Even in such a cozy ambience and steak prepared by the Eden’s chef, accompanied by sweet red wine, I can’t taste the goodness of dining there with someone close in my heart. You had spoilt the night, leaving wound behind. You shouldn’t have let me down in front of others, in front of my close acquaintance when we are together.

Aaarghh…look at what you have done…. I’ll never forget you did this to me ‘coz it’s your fault from the beginning. And I’ll never forgive you too! For you’ve not been there 100% for me, but thank God. Let it remains be blur and never find out that I’ve walk away and reach the stars, to a better life.

Valentine’s Day can bring sweetness, but at the same time, sorrow for the not-so-lucky-ones. So, what’s wrong of being single or single again? I am independent single now! Hear me, world?

CNY & Food

Chinese New Year is the time:

  • when you meet/visit all relatives
  • getting angpows for the unmarried ones
  • gathering with friends
  • gambling non-stop once every year
  • seeing lion dances
  • for ‘loh’ yee-sang
  • drinking & eating non-stop
  • seeing fireworks
  • hearing fire crackers
  • traveling for some
  • catching up movies at cinema (and TV)
  • receiving CNY cards
  • meeting new friends
  • having lots of sweet mandarin oranges

In short, CNY is a time spent for life’s prosperity. Everything got to be abundance, including food. The best yee-sang that I have eaten was at Kin Ma, PGH. The worst one was at one Good Friends, Klang.

And yesterday, finally ate at the renowned seafood restaurant in PJ. Unique? Huh… only for its established name. Packed, but food wise didn’t deliver to my expectation. We ordered only normal dishes and one or two seafood varieties… but, the taste is so-so only. I think there are other restaurants that can cook better than this at a cheaper cost. Stomach and pocket satisfaction guaranteed.

Just a lil’ angpow for you ~ a restaurant that can turn a simple plain dish (i.e fried rice) into tasty, delicious, mouth-watering dish is a good restaurant! Look for that in your next visit to any new restaurant. Cheers.
