When a Stranger Calls

I have expectation on this movie. My initial thought was to ignore this movie but when I saw the trailer on TV; ‘hey, it’s not that bad!’….. Second thought allowed. Surrounded by Monday blues, I decided to try my luck if there is extra ticket to spare. Lady luck there is, always!

So the movie, feature a grand house by the lakeside. Absolute dream home… (minus the part where it’s situated remotely). The thriller focused on the babysitter & just phone calls. Cheap production. Somehow the movie was hanging, not revealing the real motive of the caller. And the thrill wasn’t oomphful, could have done better than just relying heavily on sound effect and shooting angles.

Many loopholes. There are lots of things that Jill can do whilst inside the house, or even choose not to do. I don’t know, probably that’s part of the story requirements – to be panic and terrifying herself. Otherwise, there won’t be a movie at all!
