Weird, weird, weird

Lately, hanging out with friends, came across weird people. Very recently, I get my friend to intro me to this A&P guy from a well-known shopping mall… (definitely not a mission to get a date). Even before we start our conversation, he has already turn on, activated his defensive mode. Due to my profession background, very quickly he forms the idea that I want business from him. HARLO! I don’t bug for business at night, not when I’m chilling having fun time at club.

Patiently, I let him finished up his excuses explanations. And then telling him he got the whole idea wrong ‘coz all I wanted is just a call card, which I can contact if we plan to run event at that mall later. In other word, I’m presenting a business opportunity. There and then, he continues with another lengthy conversation telling me the entire do’s and don’t on the shopping mall, asking me to submit proposal, et-cetera, et-cetera…in an environment with super-blaring-loud-music. Oh gosh. Haven’t I make myself clear, I just want a contact. Duhhh… what’s wrong with your listening skill?

Still at the same occasion, this times the lady’s turn. Nothing wrong with the listening skill, just that this lady has got a little extra. The show-off skill. We have just gotten acquainted, and within the next few seconds she tells me she was the Miss Malaysia Petite (199x). I was like…hhmm, wondering what kind of reaction she’s expecting from me. Well, her title most likely works with the guys. Who isn’t proud to have ‘Miss-Something’ as a friend. To me, they are just ordinary human like us, but somehow are gifted and lucky in someway. Just be humble lah,… if people recognize you, they will know who you are. If they don’t, just forget it and stop the self-publicity campaign trying to get attention. Let people value and compliment you from their heart, not when you prompted them to say something nice about you. Notice the BIG difference.

These weird people; never know when you will meet them and see them again.

Skytrex Adventure II

No, no, no… this is not a continuation, not a sequel to the previous Skytrex Adventure. It’s the same one. Yes, the very same adventure. Oops I did it again. :D

Call me crazy… in just 2 weeks time I went again. This time with own buddies… 6 of us, too bad Wei Tzen can’t join. I went also because we dare each other… Anyhow, it was still a great fun time for the rest of us.

Even though, this is a second attempt… still, there’s a little scare feeling within. Having experienced it before, thought it will be a peanut to go for another round. But… it was so embarrass that I failed 2 acts throughout the journey. Swing isn’t a problem this time. Instead is the ‘tarzan swing’. I can hardly swing across to the planks. Most of the time it was a reverse for me on every attempt forward. Sighh… can’t even do the cheating walk. It was then I realized that the management had risen up the cable so that nobody can cheat by grabbing the cable and walk. Oh… so hard for someone who’s light-weighted and short leggy like me. Dah lah leg cannot reach the plank, making it harder to have a momentum or impact for landing during the swing. James counted that it took 40 seconds for me to get to the other plank, just 1 plank. Thanks for that…grrr. Even the instructors had given up and asked me to try walking…ish, ish. Last last, I managed to swing the last 3 planks to the platform, those before that – mostly walking. Hahaha….

Second failure was at the last flying fox, the longest 100m. Being too obsess videoing own flying from the previous fly… I lost my direction bearing and got myself into lousy landing, actually didn’t even reach the platform. Got myself reverse to quite a distance, hanging half way in the air.  I screamed like hell here, I know, as I replay my video. Got laughed by the gals… malunya. In the end, with the help of the instructor, got myself pulling the string next to the cable to slowly reach the platform. Phew… it was a not so fun experience at this incident. Damn painful when got my legs pulled to reach the string. Sakit, sakit… I shrieked.

Nevertheless, going for second time was no regret. It was fun especially spending time with buddies. The support, jokes, cheers and laughs are all wonderful memories for each of us. Another best thing was having plenty time to take pictures for each other. And here’s the link to most of my photos hehe…
